Job Description

Applications are invited for the position on a research project funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES),Seismology Division, Government of India, to be implemented at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.

Project Title: “Multicomponent seismic excitation: Characterization of design spectra and developing combination rule”

Name of the Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Number of Post: 01

Consolidated Monthly Pay: @Rs. 31000/- for first and second years, and @Rs. 35000/- for third year (consolidated) Plus HRA (as applicable per MoES norms)

Qualification and Experience: Essential: The candidate should have 1) ME/MTech / equivalent degree in Civil Engineering;or

2) BE/BTech / equivalent degree in Civil Engineering. The candidate must be qualified through GATE or equivalent examination.

Desirable: i) Strong background in Structural Dynamics; ii) Exposure to Engineering
Seismology; and iii) Proficiency in Matlab Programming.

Terms: One year (extendable up to total of 3 years based on performance)
