1. Project Title: A Retinex Inspired Framework for Intensity Homogenization, Contrast Upgradation, and Restoration of Satellite and Aerial Images

2. Funding Agency: SERB, Govt. of India.

3. Position (temporary and full-time): Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 Nos.

4. Consolidated monthly Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (As per the SERB/Institute Rules)

5. Principal Investigator: Dr. Jidesh P.

6. Co-PI: Dr. Santhosh George

7. Department: Mathematical and Computational Sciences (MACS)

8. Duration: 1 year, extendable based on the performance to a maximum of 3 years(or till completion of the project/funding). After the completion of 2 years, based on the performance assessment by the duly constituted committee, the JRF may be promoted to SRF (if the performance is found satisfactory) with a consolidated pay of Rs. 35000/- (subject to the availability of the funds)

9. Qualification: M.Tech./M.Sc./MCA in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ IT/ Mathematics/ Electronics with good academic performance and good programming skills. In addition, the candidates should have qualified UGC-NET/CSIR/GATE.

10. More information: Selected candidates are encouraged to apply for Ph.D. programme at NITK Surathkal, subject to the fulfillment of the academic and administrative requirements of the institute.
