JRF Geomaticsjob Position in National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra on contract basis
Title of project: Classification and feature selection of AVIRIS-NG airborne hyperspectral data for crop cover mapping/urban mapping
Qualifications: ME/M.Tech in Geomatics/Remote Sensing/Computer Science & Engineering/Computer Engineering (with knowledge of hyperspectral remote sensing/machine learning algorithms including deep leaminglimage processing) with at least 65% marks or at least 6.5/1 0 Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
Candidate should have undergraduate degree in Engineering (preferably Civil and Computer science).
Desirable: Candidate with work/project development experienpe in area of hyperspectral remote sensing especially in classification and feature selection would be preferred. Candidate should have good programming skill (like MATLAB/ Python/ C++).

Job description: The Junior Research Fellow is required to assist in carrying out various activities under the project to complete the objectives and deliverables in time as per schedule.
