Job Description

Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Indian Nationals only) in the attached format (Form B) only for the following position(s) in the research project entitled "Search for novel skyrmionic systems probed by theoretical and experimental investigations" funded by DST-SERB. In addition, candidate is encouraged to submit statement of purpose.

1. Name of the Post: JRF

2. Number of positions: JRF one position

3. Fellowship / Honorarium / Stipend in Rs. JRF: Rs. 31,000/- for PG degree course with NET/GATE (equivalent) qualified or PG degree in professional course. For non-NET/ GATE candidates, salary will be fixed as per DST-SERB guidelines.

4. HRA, if applicable As per the norms of the DST-SERB

5. Tenure of the Post: The position is available initially for a period of one year and may be extendable up to three years solely based on the performance.

6. Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Physics or relevant area with 55%.

7. Desirable Qualifications: Strong basics of Solid State Physics, Adequate Knowledge in Magnetism. Since the project is on theory, preference will be given to candidates having previous experience in electronic structure calculations.

Age Limit:
28 years maximum
