Job Description

JRF Life Sciences job opportunities in  Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali

IISER-Mohali (Department of Biological Sciences) desires to engage researchers on a temporary basis on contract under a DST-sponsored research project at IISER-Mohali titled “Investigation of the role of Tamalin in group I mGluR trafficking and mGluR-dependent AMPA receptor endocytosis”.

Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow

Essential Qualification: M.Sc in any area of life sciences, including 1-2 years of preferable research experience in Neuroscience and specific research experience in animal handling, cell culture, biochemical techniques etc. Since, this is a heavy duty Neuroscience project; a prior knowledge of Neuroscience is desirable.

Work description: Carrying out cell biological and biochemical experiments in primary neuron culture to study the role of Tamalin in the trafficking of mGluRs and it physiological significance.

Emoluments: Emoluments as per DST norms and as sanctioned in the project.

Number of Positions: 1

Duration: For one year.
