Job Description

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is a premier autonomous Institution established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, for promotion of high quality science education and research in the country.

The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:

Name of Posts:Junior Research Fellow

Name of Project:Terahertz spectroscopic studies of layered 2-D materials.

Minimum Educational qualification:(as prescribed by the funding agency)MSc/MTech in Physics/Photonics/Materials Science with 60% marks.

And qualified in a national Level Examination( CSIR-UGC, NET including lectureship, GATE, JEST or equivalent)

Preference:Preference will be given to those (i) with experience in optical experiments using femtosecond lasers and/or (ii) those with published research work of high quality in related areas.

Experience in the following is desirable:(i) Semiconductor processing techniques including Photolithography, Wet etching, Thermal evaporation etc.
(ii) Matlab

Number of posts:01

Fellowship amount:31,000/-pm

Age:The upper age limit shall be 26 years on the day of application. A relaxation of 5 years is applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates.
