Applications are invited for the following temporary post of Junior Research Fellow under the project titled “Data Driven Control for Marine Vehicle Maneuvering” in the Dept. of Ocean Engineering, IIT Madras

1. Duration: Initially for a period of One year, extendable based on the performance.

2. Post: Junior Research Fellow

3. Qualification: B.Tech or M.tech in Ocean Engineering, or allied disciplines, with minimum 75 % marks in preceding exam a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR- UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by central government Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST,DBT,DAE,DOS,DRDO,MHRD,ICAR, ICMR,IIT,IISc,IISER etc.

4. Pay Range: Rs. 31,000/-pm

5. The ideal candidate would have the following skill set:

1. A basic undergraduate engineering degree in ocean, naval architecture, civil, electrical, mechanical or computer science disciplines

2. Proficiency with Artificial Intelligence techniques including Deep Learning, preferably in Recurrent Neural Networks and Reinforcement Learning

3. Experience with Tensor Flow is preferred

4. Strong communication skills (oral and written)
