Applications are invited for filling up the following positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate I (Total:
01) at Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi under the project funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of
India. Position is purely on temporary basis
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Project Associate I (PA I)
Number of positions: 01 (one)
Emoluments (Per month): Rs. 31000 + HRA for 1st and 2nd Year, and thereafter Rs. 35000 + HRA for 3rd Year as SRF.
(Candidates, with M. Sc. Degree and without NET if selected, will be paid assign the post of Project Associate I @ Rs.
25000/- + HRA per month for initial two years, and thereafter Rs. 28000 + HRA as Project Associate II.) HRA shall be
paid as per the University rules.
Duration: The fellowship will be offered initially for a period of three months, which can be extended further depending
upon performance of the candidate.
Essential qualifications:
Minimum 55% in M.Sc./ M.Tech/ Integrated M.Tech in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Applied Geography &
Geoinformatics and relevant subject.
Preference may be given to the candidates with research interest & field work as
per requirement of the project. Candidate, who are in last semester of their M.Sc./ M.Tech degree may also apply.
Candidates with NET will be preferred.
Desirable: Candidates having experience and knowledge in large data handling (satellite data and satellite data products,
Census, NSSO, meteorological data etc.),with working knowledge of hyperspectral & microwave remote sensing, R,
Python, MATLAB software(s),artificial intelligence, machine learning etc. will be preferred
