Project Position in the Department of Remote Sensing
Applications are invited for One post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under SERB-DST, Government of India sponsored project entitled: Remote sensing based hydrologic budget of the Subarnarekha river basin : PI – Dr. A. P. Krishna.
Above project with a sanctioned duration of 3 Years shall be executed in the Department of Remote Sensing, Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi. Initial appointment of the JRF shall be made for 1 year and likely to be extended annually on satisfactory performance for remaining duration of the project to be co-terminus with the Project/Grant availability.
Eligibility: M.Tech./M.Sc. (Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics/Applied Geology/Geology/ Hydrology/Water Resources and allied discipline with knowledge of RS & GIS) with 1st class.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course should be selected through a process described through any one of the following :
a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE.
b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government, Departments and their Agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Desirable: Candidate with hands-on experience in RS GIS Tools and S/W.
Remuneration : @Rs. 31,000 pm +16% HRA for 1st & 2nd Years @Rs. 35,000 pm + 16% HRA for 3rd Year
