Job Description

Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on contract basis to work in a time bound DST-SERB sponsored research project (EMR/2017/002793) sanctioned to the undersigned at the Department of Life Sciences, Central University of Tamil Nadu.

Number of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 1 (One) Post

Project Title:Elucidating the molecular mechanisms of oxidized phospholipids-mediated neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration in Parkinson’s disease. 

Monthly Fellowship: Rs.31,000/- (for CSIR/ UGC-NET/ GATE/ ICMR-JRF/ DBT-JRF qualified) and+ 8% HRA Tenure of Position:1 (One year),extendable annually till the completion of the project period, subject to satisfactory performance. 

Essential Qualification: MSc in Life Sciences/ Zoology orany other relevant disciplines with minimum 55% with CSIR-NET/UGC-NET/ GATE/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF. Desirable: Experience in handling small animals (rats or mice),and cell biology and molecular Biology research experience.

Age Limit: 28 years (to be relaxed as per rules of Govt. of India)
