Name of the Position: JRF(Project)/ Number of positions: 1

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc Physical Oceanography / Marine Science with Physical Oceanography specialization or M.Tech. in Oceanic Sciences qualified for NET/GATE ; Incase of no suitable candidates with NET/GATE qualification, Non-NET/GATE qualified candidates will be considered for 'Project Associate-I' position with M.Sc qualification.

Consolidated Stipend per month:Rs.31000

Project Title and code:Vulnerability of Bay of Bengal coastline to tropical cyclones
DesirableKnowledge of computer programming (MATLAB/FERRET/IDL or equivalent software)

Job requirementNumerical modelling related to ocean and climate studies. Analysis of oceanographic observations and model simulations. Any other project related work assigned from time to time Position required to be filled for period of months12
