Responsibilities:
Use chemical compounds and components to create, and test new potential chemicals to be used in engineering.
Apply knowledge of chemistry to analyze compounds and create combinations that may provide a benefit or use.
Develop and design chemical manufacturing processes.
Use science to solve problems that may occur during the use of chemicals in engineering.
Ensure safety protocols are established for others working with specific types of chemicals.
Design, plan, and train on the layout and function of various types of equipment.
Evaluate equipment used to ensure it is in line with safety and environmental guidelines.
Develop and implement processes for the separation of liquid and other chemical types.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of chemicals, their compounds, and unique makeups
Able to work with your hands on a daily basis
Strong knowledge of health and safety guidelines
Demonstrated ability to follow environmental guidelines set out by the regulating authority
Strong attention to detail and reporting abilities
Good math skills
Strong knowledge of various science subjects, including math, chemistry, and physics
Able to solve complex problems and equations
Good communication skills and problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to research and document research
