Essential Qualification

Graduation with minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognized University, with a pre- requisite condition that Graduation should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the University
A minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Stenography
Proficiency in the use of Computers
Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognized Board/University, with a pre- requisite condition that Diploma should have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the University
One-year experience as Steno-Typist/ Stenographer
A minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Stenography
Proficiency in the use of Computers

Age Limit

18 - 28 Years as on 31.03.2024 (Maximum 33 years for SC/ST Candidates and 31 years for OBC candidates, against post reserved for these category).

Consolidated Salary

Selected candidates will be Pay Matrix and will be paid minimum basic pay of ₹25,500/- p.m.
In addition, Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid for those who are not availing Departmental Housing and Transport facility, respectively.

SELECTION PROCESS

Written Test/Skill Test.
There will be an initial screening based on the on-line application.

A candidate who may gain/change employment after applying for the post, is required to inform the employer the particulars of his/her application and shall mandatorily submit NOC at the time of Skill Test. Any candidate, who fails to submit NOC in original at the time of Skill Test, shall not be permitted to appear in the Skill Test and TA will not be paid

Vikram Ambalal Sarabhai, the Founder of PRL and a distinguished cosmic-ray and space scientist, is regarded as the Father of Space program in India. Vikram Sarabhai was born on 12 August 1919 in Ahmedabad. After his early education in Ahmedabad he joined Cambridge University, UK and took his tripos in Natural Sciences in 1940. He worked for his Ph.D. under the guidance of Nobel Laureate Sir C. V. Raman at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. In 1947, he was awarded doctorate by the Cambridge University. On his return to India, Dr. Sarabhai founded PRL from where he continued his research activities. In 1962 he took over the responsibility of organising Space Research in India as Chairman of the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR). Dr. Sarabhai served as Director of PRL from 1965 to 1971 and Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission during 1966-1971.
Sarabhai was awarded the Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Award for Physics in 1962 and was honoured with Padma Bhushan in 1966. He was awarded Padma Vibhushan posthumously. He was associated with several national and international committees as member/ chairperson.
