Name of the PI’s: Dr. Mahesha. B, Scientist & PI, Div. of Crop Protection, IIHR, Bangalore.

Project/Scheme Name: Simulation of leaf curl disease dynamics in chilli for strategic management options”

Fellowship/ Remuneration: Rs. 31,000/- PM+HRA Up To28.02.2022

Essential: M.Sc. (Agri.) in Plant Pathology with specialization in plant Virology with NET qualification.

Desirable: M.Sc. Hort. in plant pathology/ M. Sc. Agri. Biotechnology/M.Sc. Biotechnology/ M.Sc. Agri. Entomology with NET qualification/ Ph.D in plant pathology/ Ph.D Agri. Biotechnology/ Ph.D Biotechnology/ Ph.D Agri. Entomology with specialization in plant virology.

Experience: Expertise in molecular biology/ Molecular plant virology techniques, (Nucleic acid extraction, cDNA preparation, variants of PCR/RTPCR/ELISA, gene cloning, gene construct development, knowledge of bio-informatics in plant virology) and ability to conduct/ manage field and glass house experiments are essential (field survey, weather data collectionanalysis, virus-vector culture maintenance, virus transmission studies, virushost range studies and physiological and biochemical analysis of test samples)

Age Limit: 30 years for men and 35 years for women
