1. Project title: Tribological and Slippery Properties of Liquid Impregnated Micro Cavities
2. Project description:
i. The project is about fabrication of hierarchically porous Zirconium oxide using colloidal processing, lithography, sacrificial templates and sintering processes and evaluating their wetting and tribological properties. Characterizations will have to be performed using dynamic light scattering experiments, SEM, BET, Zeta potential, rheometer,
ii. FTIR, contact angle goniometer, sphere on disc tribological tests, hardness tests etc. The candidate must have prior experience in one or more of the topics-powders processing, colloidal processing, characterization skills etc. The candidate should be open to learning new experimental techniques and should be a team player.
3. Eligibility:
i. Masters in Materials science and Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Chemistry/Nanotechnology or allied fields from reputed universities with good work ethics is required
ii. Applicants must have research specialization in one or more of the fieldsceramics processing, colloids, nanoparticles, materials characterizations
iii. The candidate must have preferably qualified GATE/NET or equivalent examinations. Good communication skills both in scientific writing as well as in presentations are highly desirable.
4. Duration: The appointment will be for one year.
5. Salary: 31,000 Rs p.m.
