NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC) invites applications for the position of “Junior Research Fellow (Project)” in the DST-funded project entitled “Autism Spectrum Disorders, Genes, and the Gut Microbiome: Utilizing SongBird (Zebra Finches) as a Model System”.

Essential Qualification: Masters’ degree in Natural Sciences or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks.

Desirable experience Experience in animal handling, basic histological techniques biochemistry, and microbiology will be preferred. The candidate should be highly motivated to work in an academic environment with other students and PDFs.

Fellowship (i) ₹ 31,000/- plus HRA as per rules for those who have qualified any of the national level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies and institutions (CSIRUGC-NET, GATE, JGEEBILS, DBT / ICMR-JRF or similar). (ii) ₹ 25,000/- plus HRA as per rules for those who do not fall under (i) above. No other allowances are applicable.
