Remuneration: Rs. 31,000 per month for the first two years, and Rs. 35,000 per month in the third year. HRA will be paid as applicable, and as per existing norms.
Period of appointment: Initial appointment will be made for a period of 11 months, and based on performance, the appointment will be extended. The full duration of the project is approximately 3 years. Upon satisfactory progress and fulfilling the criteria set by the Department of Chemical Engineering, the selected candidate can register for a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at IIT Hyderabad.
Essential criteria for applicants : M.Tech or M.E. (First class) in Chemical Engineering or allied areas such as Polymer Engineering, Polymer Science and Technology and Nanotechnology. Minimum aggregate of 80% or CGPA of 8.0 and above in the M.Tech or M.E. degree.
Desirable criteria for applicants : Motivation to work in an engaging academic environment on an experimental project that also offers scope for theory development. Strong fundamentals with an interest in polymers/nanofibers. Experience with experimental work in related areas is also desirable. Valid GATE score is not mandatory but desirable.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age not to exceed 28 years as on the date of this advertisement.
