Amity Institute of Social Sciences Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for the following assignment on a time-bound research project undertaken in the Amity Institute of Social Sciences, Amity University, Noida.

Name of the Research Project: Agricultural Chemistry, Peasants and pursuit for Agricultural Improvement in British India, 1870-1940s’
Name of sponsoring agency: Indian National Science Academy
Duration of the position: Initially One year (extendable based on performance and availability of funds)
Fellowship / Monthly compensation: Rs.18,000/- + HRA
Essential qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in modern Indian History/social sciences with minimum of 55% or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University)
- Need to have excellent writing skills in English.
- Understanding of written Hindi and preferably Bengali (not mandatory)
- NET qualified or with at least 2 years of research experience
Desirable and Responsibilities: Would be responsible for conducting archival research mainly in the Delhi NCR. Also for brief period in Kolkata and in Chennai as and when necessary. Have to write weekly research reports. To be able to work within strict time schedule
