Job Description

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow

No. Of Post: 01 (One)

Title of Project: Emulation of Photosynthetic Reaction Center using Quantum Dots

Essential Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or M.Sc. in Physics or in appropriate discipline and GATE/ NET-JRF qualified.

Desirable Qualifications: Basic knowledge of quantum mechanics and nanoelectronics is required to carry out the work. Presvious experience of first-principles electronic-structure calculation and working knowledge of QuantumATK/ Quantum ESPRESSO would be preferred.

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000 pm.

Duration: 2 years.

Job Description: To investigate phononic environment of GaN quantum dots using first principles-based calculation. Additionally, the structure ofa quantum photocell needs to be designed.
