Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the project entitled “Air Quality network for SMART City: Real-time air quality monitor, evaluation, and prediction of air pollutants using
i. Machine Learning through the deployment of low-cost air quality sensor (LAQS) in India and two selected ASEAN countries (Malaysia, Philippines) (CRD/2020/000320)” under Indian and Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) project by International Division of Department of Science and Technology (DST),Government of India in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya.

3. Qualifications:
(a) MTech/ME in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Data Engineering, Big data analyst with specialization Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistical Model and related areas with a minimum of 60% marks. The candidates must have cleared the GATE exam. (b) Age limit: Must not be over 28 years on 30th August, 2021. Relaxation for SC/ST & PH as per GOI norms.
(b) MSc in Maths, Computer Science, Electronics Science, Applied electronics, and related areas with a minimum of 60% marks. The candidate must have cleared NET exam or GATE exam.
4. Desirable qualifications: Candidates having experience of working with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistical Model, and Big Data Analysis will be preferred for the JRF position in the project.
5. Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship: For first and second year - Rs. 31,000 (thirty one thousand only) + HRA @ 8% per month. In total Rs. 33480 (thirty three thousand four hundred eighty only). ( Note - HRA will be given only if accommodation in the Institute Hostel is not available)
6. Duration: Initial appointment is for one year, which is extendable up to the end of the project duration based on the performance of the candidate.
