Job Description

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University) invites application for the position Junior Research Fellow

Title of the Project: “Prediction of extreme severe cyclonic storms over North Indian Ocean using high resolution numerical modeling system for disaster preparedness”.

Roles and Responsibilities: Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST-SERB Funded Project in School of Advanced Sciences (SAS),Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT),Tamil Nadu

Number of positions: One [01]

Qualification: Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech or equivalent in Mathematics/Physics/Atmospheric Science/Environmental Science

Desirable: Candidates having knowledge in Numerical simulation and modeling, environmental monitoring, data assimilation.

Stipend: Rs. 31,000/ + HRA per month with NET/GATE. For candidates without NET/GATE, stipend will be as per Institute norms.
