Mode of Selection:a. Only the candidates fulfilling essential qualification, age limit etc will be allowed to attend the typing test on computer.

b. The proficiency in computer typing speed and in using computer will only be qualifying in nature to appear for the competitive written examination.

c. The written test will consist of two papers (Paper-I & Paper-II). Paper-II will be evaluated only for those candidates who secure the minimum threshold marks (to be determined by the Selection Committee) in Paper-I.

d. Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks (performance) in the competitive written examination in Paper I & II.

Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI) was founded at Karaikudi. The institute took roots in the patriotic fervour of RM. Alagappa Chettiar, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Dr. Shanthi Swarup Bhatnagar. Fast forward five years, on January 14, 1953, the institution became a reality when Dr. S. Radhakrishnan dedicated CSIR-CECRI, the 12th national laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR),to the nation.
