Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) invites application for the position Junior/ Senior Research Fellow
Project: “Assessment of seasonal variations in Hydrology and Cryosphere of Upper Ganga Basin”
Essential Qualifications:
(i) Postgraduate Degree (with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent) in Professional Courses in Civil Engg./Water Resources/Hydrology/Agricultural Engg./Geomatics/Geo-informatics/Remote Sensing and GIS OR
(ii) Postgraduate degree (with minimum of 55% marks) in Environmental Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology.
(iii) The NET/GATE qualification is mandatory for application.
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in High Performance Computing system, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, Hydrological Modelling, Handling climate data experience
Job Requirement: The selected candidates will be required to collect field data from the Himalayas and perform data analysis, hydrological modelling. Project includes extensive field work at high altitude and remote locations in Upper Ganga Basin for different durations.
Salary: 28000/31000+HRA (fixed as per funding agency)
Age Limit: The upper age limit for the post is 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation of SC/ST/OBC/Women and physically handicapped candidates as per Govt. of India rules.
