Position Summary

Works with internal and external organizations to develop, plan and write/edit internal and external technical documentation. Work requires use of the appropriate editorial/logical methodologies and process management. Ensures that documentation is written in a manner that customers with limited to highly proficient technical product knowledge can understand and use the material.

Duties And Responsibilities

• A general knowledge of technical writing, including the processes used to develop and publish technical literature.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Researches, analyzes, and authors multiple and various technical documentation products with guidance from Intermediate/Senior writers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with senior writers and SMEs to gain knowledge on domain and process.
• A thirst for knowledge; proactively seek to learn and comprehend.
• Work with editors and technical resources to improve document quality and usability.
• Possess ability to understand technical subject matter and write clear and accurate documents based on this understanding
• Ability to solve problems, of limited to moderate scope, related to the creation and maintenance of technical documents.
• Exposure to authoring tools and DITA concepts.
