Duties and Responsibilities

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Runs analytical or other testing equipment is required (mechanic aptitude to use and build testing apparatus / equipment)
Lab testing include mixing chemicals to make fluids, mixing fluids
Testing coatings / rubber / chemicals - flow rates, compression molding, densities, film testing
Monitors experiments, makes observations, calculates and records results, and often develops conclusions
Ability to keep detailed technical records.
Carry out assigned tests with minimal supervision and properly document all results and/or observations.
Follow predefined testing procedures and methods.
Prioritize and complete tasks assigned to you by your supervisor.
Follow company security policies, protect all test data and company property.
Assist others with daily tasks, as well as, short and long term projects.
Preform and document monthly safety inspections on all safety showers, eyewash stations, and fire extinguishers.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well organized laboratory.
Ensure all chemicals are properly stored, and maintain chemical inventory.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory instrumentation.
Process/input test data to excel, compose plots and graphs, and organize data for PowerPoint reports.
Capture images and/or video for reports.
Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure extra PPE is readily available for guests.
Maintain proper communication between supervisors and coworkers.
