Job Description

Edit author manuscript/articles submitted by authors for spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity and consistency, rephrasing sentences as needed

Edit the manuscript so as it conforms to the publisher's language requirements

Language editing of Journals/books with a high emphasis on quality

Responsible for doing regular checks of files copyedited by the Editor trainees and give them appropriate feedback

Review author/publisher corrections, analyze errors and recommend training needs

Undertake quality circles based on error analysis

Make recommendations for automation

Identify bugs in tools and record them for further analysis and fixing

Requirements

Excellent English skills (verbal & written),an eye for detail, proficiency in Microsoft Word

Be an enthusiastic learner and have a passion for reading/editing, be flexible to work in rotational shifts (no night shifts)

Curiosity to learn

Good to have

Reading as a hobby

Certifications on English language proficiency
