Designation: Laser Machine Operations
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Set up and operate laser cutting or engraving machines to cut or engrave wooden toy components for babies according to specifications provided by the manufacturer
2. Select appropriate materials and cutting parameters for each job, ensuring that the machine produces high-quality parts that are safe for babies to use and play with
3. Monitor the machines during operation to ensure quality and consistency of output, and make adjustments as needed
4. Perform routine maintenance on the machines, such as cleaning, replacing parts, and lubricating moving components to keep the machines running smoothly and ensure that the wooden toy components are safe and free from any hazardous materials
5. Troubleshoot and repair machinery as needed, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues that may arise during production
6. Work collaboratively with other team members, including designers and assemblers, to ensure that wooden toy components are produced in a timely and efficient manner
7. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following all safety procedures, especially those related to the safety of babies
8. Improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity and ensure the safety of the baby's wooden toys
