LDC /Technician/Assistant job opportunities in Indian Institute of Millets Research on temporary & contract basis

1. Technician (Field / Farm)/ 4 (UR – 3, SR - 1)

Qualification: Matriculate pass or equivalent from recognized Board.

NOTE: The selected candidates will have to undergo one year on the job training, which will be provided by the respective Institutes to the selected candidates. The selected candidates will be called as Technical Trainee during the training period. After successful completion of the one year training, a certificate to this effect will be provided by the Institute and regular appointment will be done.

Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 – 20200 + 2000 GP [Since revised to Level 3 as per 7th CPC]

Age: 30 Years

2. Assistant/ 3 (UR– 2, OBC- 1 )

Qualification: A Bachelor degree from a recognized university Candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized University. A candidate must hold a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act, of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possesses an equivalent qualification.

NOTE I: Candidates possessing professional and technical qualifications which are recognized by Government as equivalent to professional and technical degree will also be eligible for admission to the examination. NOTE II: Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Council’s/Institute’s examination, but have not been informed of the result and also the candidates who intended to appear at such a qualifying examination will not be eligible for admission to this examination. NOTE III: The candidates must possess original or provisional Bachelor Degree.

FOR IN-SERVICE CANDIDATES: All candidates in the regular service of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research Service / Government Service whether in a permanent/confirmed or temporary capacity, or as work-charged employee, other than casual or daily rated employees, will be required to submit a declaration at the time of verification of documents that they have intimated their employer before appearing in the said examination. Candidates should note that in case a communication is received from their employer by the Director, ICAR-IIMR withholding permission to the candidate applying for / appearing at the examination, their applications will be liable to be rejected / cancelled. The decision of the Institute as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the examination shall be final.

3. LDC/ 3Posts (UR– 2 ,OBC-1

Educational qualification : 12th Class Pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. A typing speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi on computer (35 w.p.m and 30 w.p.m correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 keys depressions for each word).

Pay Scale: Rs. 5200 – 20200 + 1900 GP [Since revised to Level 2 as per 7th CPC]

Age: 18 – 27 Years

Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR) upgraded from Directorate of Sorghum Research (DSR),is the central agency to work on all aspects of millets research and development under the auspeces of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). While the main centre at Hyderabad campus is principally engaged in both basic and strategic research on millets, region-specific research and services are organized through two other centres - Solapur in Maharashtra and OSN, Warangal in Telangana.
