Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Requirements and Configuration Management Engineer to join our automotive engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of requirements, ensuring alignment with ASPICE standards, and maintaining traceability throughout system, hardware, and mechanical domains using tools like Polarion ALM.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Management:
Import, structure, and manage customer and stakeholder requirements and product specifications.
Break down requirements systematically across system, hardware, and mechanical components.
Ensure all requirements are tracked, versioned, and maintained within POLARION in compliance with ASPICE standards.
2. Collaboration & Coordination:
Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and quality to ensure proper interpretation and handling of requirements.
Support version control and change tracking processes, ensuring traceability across all domains.
3. Process Development:
Drive continuous improvements in requirements and configuration management processes.
Manage ASPICE-based Requirement Management dashboards (SYS.1, SYS.2, HWE.1, MEE.1).
Support audits and process improvement initiatives related to requirements engineering.
4. Progress Tracking & Documentation:
Extract KPIs from POLARION to monitor progress of requirement processing.
Manage supplier requirements and ensure integration into internal systems.
Initiate requirement freeze and export requirements in customer-readable formats.
Handle additional documents including standards, contracts, and technical specs.
5. Customer & Stakeholder Communication:
Evaluate and send requirements to customers and import feedback into POLARION.
Lead weekly customer meetings, exchange sessions, and expert discussions.
Clarify and validate requirements, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
6. Project Team Coordination:
Keep project teams informed of requirement changes and updates.
Prepare meeting agendas, document discussions, track tasks, and ensure timely completion.
Distribute meeting minutes and follow up on action items with relevant stakeholders.
7. Change Management & Configuration Control:
Process and track change requests, ensuring compliance with ASPICE (SUP.10).
Evaluate impact on test cases, design, and requirements, and manage approvals.
Configure and maintain Polarion ALM for change, configuration, and version control.
Conduct regular audits and generate configuration status reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience in requirements engineering and change management.
Expert in Polarion ALM or equivalent tools (e.g., DOORS).
Solid understanding of V-Model, ASPICE, and Agile automotive development methodologies.
Hands-on experience with hardware lifecycle management, especially in power electronics, automotive electronics, or inverter systems.
Familiarity with compliance processes, technical contracts, and automotive standards.
Experience managing supplier requirements and integrating external specifications.
Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Ability to train and support teams on configuration and requirements tools and best practices.
