Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT Jodhpur) invites application for the position Library Professional Trainee LEVEL-I (with B.Lib.I.Sc. only)/LEVEL-II (with M.L.I.Sc.)

Nature of positions: Purely Temporary, on Contract
Duration: One year from the date of joining
Essential Qualifications:
a)For Level– I: Fresh Graduates in Bachelors in Library & Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) or Equivalent from recognized Indian Universities with First Class and consistent good academic record
b) For Level– II: Fresh Graduates in Masters in Library & Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.) or Equivalent from recognized Indian Universities with First Class and consistent good academic record.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computers
Nature of work The Library Professional Trainees will:
a. Work on different functions & services of the library using emerging tools and technologies in the field of Library & Information Science, and Knowledge related analytics; and
b. Have to work six days a week and be ready to work in different shifts and weekends/holidays, on a rotation basis.
Proposed Remuneration: A consolidated stipend of
(a) Rs. 15,000/- per month for LEVEL-I (with B.Lib.I.Sc. only)
(b) Rs. 20,000/- per month for LEVEL-II (with M.L.I.Sc.)
Leave and Medical Facilities- Leave: 8 Days of Casual Leave in a Calendar Year Medical Facility: As per Institute’s norms. Selected candidates have to provide a documentary proof (receipt) of medical insurance of Rs. 1 Lakh or more for self, at the time of joining.
Age Limit: 25 years as on the date of test & interview
