PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Understands the full software license life cycle for both business processes and systems for all software license models. Defines the system and functional requirements to ensure license usage is captured accurately. Works with internal stakeholders to understand the expected software business purposes, usage trends, and how data flows through the systems. Produces specifications for new or modified systems. Performs data analysis of license usage to streamline processes and aide in the identification of usage trends, costs changes, and other monthly metrics. Seeks continuous improvement to make reporting processes and team processes more efficient and functional. Performs monthly and quarterly license usage reporting. Submits financial transactions and subsequently reviews supplier invoices. Assists with the performance of supplier license reporting contract reviews and other financial controls. Liases with other IT staff to produce new systems and processes.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY: Has a basic understanding of license usage reporting models and how those models apply to each license type. Strong knowledge and use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Access and MS SharePoint. Strong knowledge of SQL querying. High level of attention to detail. Ability to use financial and other systems to create purchase orders and run reports. A analytical skills, data collection and analysis. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Moderate organizational skills. Moderate understanding of database relationships. Ability to adapt to ever-changing business.

Works with internal stakeholders to understand the expected software business purposes and usage trends and examines current internal systems to understand how data flows. Produces specifications for new or modified systems. Performs data analysis of license usage to streamline processes and aide in the identification of usage trends, costs changes, and other monthly metrics. Seeks continuous improvement to make reporting processes more efficient and functional. Uses reporting tools, MS Excel, and MS SharePoint to perform monthly and quarterly license usage reporting for license providers as required. Submits financial transactions and subsequently reviews supplier invoices. Assists with the performances of supplier license reporting contract reviews and other financial controls. Liaises with other IT staff to produce new systems.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred. 2 - 3 years of experience in license reporting and management required.
