Essential Qualification: Life guard certification from NIS
or Equivalent. Diploma or Certificate course in First Aid and Professional
Rescuer Cardiopulmonary (CPR) from recognised organisations. Participation in
Swimming at State/University/National level. Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experiences
as a swimming pool life guard.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of pool equipment and maintenance.
Knowledge of lifesaving methods and procedures, including
first aid and standard CPR measures.
Knowledge of rules and regulations governing conduct of the
public at swimming pools.
Knowledge of swimming pool sanitation and chlorination
systems.
Skilled in the application of lifesaving techniques.
Skilled in swimming.
Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergencies.
Ability to perform rescue actions, administer first aid and
CPR.
