Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Linux specialist, you are responsible to provide technical support for Linux Servers with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. - Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Linux Servers
- Administration of Redhat Linux systems
- Should have strong OS administration skills on Linux REHL (6,7, 8)
- Experience in Linux OS installation, Software and Patch management
- Volume Manager Administration Network OS / SW installation and OS patching skills on UNIX (REHL)
- Debug/troubleshoot memory, filesystem issues etc
- Assists with BackâÂÂups and recovery
- Clustering and High availability management along with Virtualization solutions
- Configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Cover on-call / Standby on rotation. Managing ticket queues for Incidents / Service requests & Changes
- Setup/maintain IIS / WebSphere Application Server / IBM Http Server / Apache / Tomcat server - e.g. Heap Memory, Garbage Collection, logging enable / disable etc.
- Expertise of WebSphere Application Server / IBM Http Server / Apache / Tomcat LDAP & MQ.
- Deploy applications, performance tuning, troubleshooting, maintains security, and automates routine procedures through scripting.
- Understanding of database connection pools and strong knowledge on datasource subsystem configuration.
- Implement integrations between various CI / CD tools
- Exposure to Containers/Dockers, Microservices architecture
- Setup /Maintain Devops Pipeline - GIT repos, Jenkins, UCD etc for multi hosting cloud environment
- Automate CI / CD workflow for each of the projects that have been onboarded
- Should be able to onboard new projects to the DevOps tool chain and build the workflow from CI to CD
Required Technical and Professional Expertise- Minimum 6+ years in LINUX /Red Hat - Configure and upgrade of linux systems and servers
- Should have strong OS administration skills on Linux REHL (6,7, 8)
- Demonstrable experience in UNIX, Linux Server Support, designing, troubleshooting and storage implementation
- Configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Proven analytical, problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
- Expertise in Network and Firewalls along with knowledge about the Linux system files, boot process and Run levels
- Familiar with the configuration and maintenance of server and network hardware and peripherals
- Hands-on experience of system management, system setup and managing Linux or Solaris based servers as well as configuring them
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise- Expertise knowledge on Middleware architecture. - Websphere
- Experience in managing DevOps Tool chain like Jenkins, Jira, Urban Code, Jfrog, Slack etc
- Exposure to Containers/Dockers, Microservices architecture
- Ability to integrate the workflow between various DevOps tool chain
- Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day Middleware system installation, migration and break-fix support
