JOB TITLE: Branch Logistics Executive – Branch
First Appraiser: Regional Logistics Manager
Second Appraiser: Branch Manager
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Effective and efficient management of the Logistics and supply chain operations in the warehouses attached to the respective branches resulting in enhanced service levels. Support implementation of logistics and SCM initiatives in coordination with the Regional Logistics Manager and his team.
KEY FOCUS AREAS:
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Transport Management
§ Generate reports to monitor transporter performance in K1,K2 & K3 and drive improvements in the following areas
o Time in Transit study and analysis of discrepancies with respect to benchmarks and set standards, implementation of corrective actions
o Generate the truck placement report against the actual indents placed for the respective warehouses
o Planning the truck load formations ensuring high truck utilization levels, monitoring of performance & implementation of best practices
§ Execution of all transportation contracts for the respective branches (K1 & K3) in coordination with RLM, Transportation Manager, HO, including floating enquiries and nominating vendors for Transport service provider selection.
§ Certification / confirmation of detention and penalties at the warehouses
§ Generating freight summary and transporter feedback
§
Implementing initiatives in Transportation in coordination
with RLM, Logistics Manager, HO and Projects Manager, HO.
WSP Management
§ Day to day monitoring of WSP operations and ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Analyze gaps and implement corrective actions in coordination with the Regional Logistics Team (RLT).
o Demand Order execution performance as per set standards
o FMFO adherence as per the company policy
o SOP with respect to warehouse processes like receipt, put away, storage, picking and dispatch are followed
o Ensure EHS compliance and Pest Control in all the warehouses
§ To evaluate WSP performance on the defined set of KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). Evaluate and develop alternate Service providers as and when the need arises.
§ Drive improvements in the following areas of WSP performance
o Truck Turnaround time reduction – efficient management of unloading, picking/put away and loading processes. Monitor, analyze and resolve issues affecting the processes negatively.
o Truck detention through efficient warehouse process management - scheduling and internal documentation processes
o Storage space utilization through benchmarking with other warehouses and best practices in other companies
o Ensure proper utilization of material handling and storage equipment, manage maintenance costs
§ Inventory Management
o Highlight discrepancies in actual inventory as compared to the inventory norms
o Resolve D&D stock and inventory age issues in coordination with RLM
o Analyze warehouse stock outs and implement actions for prevention
o Conducting monthly stock audits at the warehouses and ensuring that the inventories are managed with 100% accuracy
§ Responsible for the resolution of issues related to receipts, dispatch, storage, damaged stocks and returns
o Address and liaison for any mismatch during receipts from any factory or warehouse and execute corrective action plan
o Repacking of the stocks
o Ensure settlement of insurance claims
§ Assists the Regional Logistics Team in the quarterly audits for all the warehouses
§ Implement initiatives and improvements (Material Handling, Infrastructure, hygiene, Safety, Systems, Processes) suggested by the Logistics Projects team and RLM.
§ Verification of bills for WSP charges and liaison with RLM for the same
§ Ensuring effective complaint redressal with respect to warehousing and transportation operations for the associated warehouses
Statutory Compliance
§ Provide feedback on transport and WSP operations within the purview of the state and central government guidelines and regulations and ensure adherence.

Qualification: Graduation / MBA (Supply chain & Logistics)

CTC: 10 Lakhs
