Job Description:

Establish and develop a productive culture for the team consistent with the Vision/Mission/Values of Calumet
Achieve EBITDA objectives for the Finished Lubricants and Chemicals business unit
Deliver sales volume and margin targets for the commercial business segment
Provide visionary leadership for the team with an entrepreneurial approach
Assemble an experienced, knowledgeable commercial sales team
Work closely with the distributor sales team to expand our go-to-market options for our commercial product lines
Work with Marketing and sales team to develop/implement pricing sales strategies as well as initiatives that maximize margins and volume growth
Develop and maintain productive relationships with all FLC business segments and corporate support personnel
Establish performance goals/objectives for sales personnel
Conduct personnel evaluations for all sales personnel within the commercial segment
Ensure that a fair, performance-based system is in place to reward highly productive employees
Work closely with operations, supply chain and customer service to ensure that ship dates and other key performance criteria are met
Work with the team to forecast sales and inventory/production requirements in an effort to serve customers effectively
Provide monthly reporting that includes sales volume, margin/profitability, prospect customer pursuit, industry trends, competitive programs/pricing, etc.
Hire, train and develop sales positions within the commercial segments
On-site meetings with existing customers and prospects, targeting key accounts/prospects
Effective presentation skills to sales team, maintenance personnel, engineering and plant management
Ability to problem solve and provide recommendations for challenging commercial applications.
