Job Purpose
Handling of turnkey EHV Cable Projects Post order to final commissioning and getting taking over certificate.
Coordination with sub - contractors and agencies involved in the projects.
Meeting deadlines completion of projects on time.
Job Relations

External - Clients , Sub contractors and other agencies
Principal Accountabilities
Strategic
Complete post order responsibility of the project assigned till full execution of projects
Plan for resources for site activities within the organization or through subcontracting.
Selection of sub contractors , finalization of scopes and prices in consultation with HOD.
Coordination with customers and sub contractors and ensure smooth execution of projects.
Earn customer s good will by doing quality job to the satisfaction of customer.
Process
Study and understand scope of the project
Make a bar chart of complete activities with time schedule till final commissioning
Route survey for finalization of drum lengths and location of joint bays etc.
Organizing necessary drawings as per the contract and getting approvals
Coordinate with customer for necessary clearances required , if any
Selection of sub - contractors for cable laying etc , freezing the scope and finalization of rates in consultation with HOD.
Coordination for placement order for accessories and site work and follow up
Follow up with manufacturing for timely delivery and coordinate for inspection etc accordingly
Set up site and arrange resources for each activity e.g. cables unloading , making trenches , cable laying and making of joints and terminations etc.
Ensure safety of cable at site - during unloading , shifting and laying etc.
To ensure that safety guide line are strictly followed at site without any deviation.
Supervise all the activities and coordinate with customers and cable
Progressive certification of the site job from client for raising progressive invoices.
Successful and timely execution of projects
Get completion certificate
People
Train and motivate young engineers and groom them for handling the job independently.
