Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) invites application for the position Manager

No. of Post: 01

Designation & Pay Scale (Rs.): Manager (Social),(Rs. 60,000 – 1,80,000)

Minimum Educational Qualification: Full time with First class Post - Graduate Degree in Sociology OR Social Welfare OR Social Work OR Social Science OR Urban Planning AND full-time first-class Graduate Degree in any subject

Minimum post - qualification experience: 6 years

Experience is defined as under: Minimum 6 years post qualification experience in Social Impact Assessment in one or combination of infrastructure projects for example highways, railways, transport terminals, airports, township/ SEZs, ports & allied facilities, mining and landfills, oil and gas pipelines, hydel, irrigations with Category “A” NABET/QCI accreditation in Socio-Economic Functional Area. Preference shall be given to:
a) Experience in projects funded by bilateral/multilateral agencies.
b) Experience in preparation of Land Plan Schedule (LPS)
c) Preparation of social safeguard instruments like Resettlement Action Plan, Gender Action plan, Livelihood Restoration Plan and Indigenous People Development Plan etc.

Candidates from Govt. Department, Central/ State PSU should currently be working in IDA pay scale of ₹ 50,000-1,60,000 / CDA scale in Level 9 of pay matrix of 7th CPC; OR should have atleast 3+ years service in IDA pay scale of ₹ 40,000-1,40,000 / CDA scale in Level 7 of pay matrix of 7th CPC; or above; or; should have annual CTC of 12 LPA. (CTC clause is applicable only for Govt. Dept/ PSU where pay scales are not followed). Candidates working in Autonomous Bodies/ Private firms should have an annual CTC of atleast 12 LPA

Candidates belonging to General/EWS category (and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD applying against unreserved posts) should have first class degree/ minimum 60% marks in Minimum Qualification for consideration against unreserved posts.

Experience shall be calculated as on 01.09.2021.

Note for Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess Degree recognized by AICTE/ UGC (as applicable); from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) which is treated as equivalent to Degree by Govt. of India, shall also be accepted.

Relaxations & Concessions Reservation/ relaxation/ concessions to EWS/ SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PWD/ Ex-SM/ J&K Domicile would be provided against reserved posts (where applicable) as per extant Govt. orders. Relaxation in upper age limit to OBC (NCL)/ SC/ ST candidates shall be provided against reserved posts as per extant Govt. orders. RITES’ regular/ contract employees fulfilling the educational qualification and experience criteria shall be given age relaxation of 5 years, over and above the upper age limit indicated above.

Nature & Period of Engagement: The appointment will be initially on probation for a period of one year. Selected candidates shall be liable for posting to any place in India as per requirements of the Company. Candidates will be required to clear the screening test for confirmation of their services at the end of the probation period. Those who fail to qualify in the screening test, their probation period may be extended and further action taken in accordance with the policy of the Company.

Remuneration The selected candidates would be paid Basic pay and DA, fixed/variable allowances as applicable in the scale, HRA/Lease, Contribution to PF, Gratuity as per Gratuity Act. Other benefits would be as under: Leaves Maternity, Leave/ Paternity, Leave Medical facility, Accident/Death Insurance, Leave Encashment: As per company rules applicable to regular employees

The approximate CTC at the minimum of the pay-scale for the post of Manager is ₹ 17 LPA. Remuneration mentioned above is only indicative. Actual remuneration shall depend upon place of posting and other terms & conditions of appointment.
