Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Technology or equivalent practical experience.
- 9 years of management consulting experience or 4 years of experience in operations or program management.
- 2 years of people management experience with a focus on hiring, mentoring and retaining talent.
- Experience with strategic programs that span multiple organizations that have a direct measurable business impact.
Preferred qualifications:
- MBA degree.
- Experience managing and improving Machine Learning (ML) based projects and a good understanding of ML lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently, complete projects from beginning to end and in a timely manner, and navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders.
- Ability to synthesize information and see the big picture while effectively managing details, craft and deliver executive presentations, and effectively operate with enthusiasm and flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment.
- Understanding of how the Internet works economically, socially, and technically. Interest in innovation, technology and Google products.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver thought leadership and impact on abuse risk mitigation on Google Maps as part of the User Content and Engagement team and broader Trusted Content leadership teams.
- Lead and execute on multiple strategic bets for reducing abuse risks on the Geo product portfolio by working collaboratively and cross functionally (e.g. Product Areas, Engineering, Legal, Policy, etc.) to ensure coordination and alignment on objectives and key results.
- Structure and execute multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously by developing plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations.
- Understand challenges, trends, and perspectives that may influence enforcement strategy and operations; Identify problems and issues across organizations and create programs and processes to solve them proactively.
- Manage coach and mentor a global team of individual contributors to deliver exceptional business results.
