Level 4 Press jobs - Marketing Executive

• Level 4 Press will be releasing 50 books. Some of these books will be released through regular distribution, and others will only be eBooks and print-on-demand. 
• We’d like to hire a full-time book marketing person for $2.50 per hour (176 hours per month) to work from India who would ensure that these books are financially successful. This is a work-from-home freelance/contract-based job. The company is located in California, U.S. 
• You will be required to send us an invoice every month. 

The job functions will include, but not be limited to:

• Providing input to our book marketing strategy and plan (both overall plan and per title release plan).
• Researching book marketing strategies and activities and making recommendations.
• Development of and updates to Level 4 websites to support book marketing.
• Book related social media marketing, including automated postings to sites.
• Build a book marketing list, and a strategy for using that list to generate sales. This may include a newsletter and on-going email outreach with landing page development.
• Coordination with book authors to support book marketing. This coordination may include signings, readings, virtual launch parties, interviews, and supporting outreach to author friends and colleagues.
• Coordinating with and promotion to bloggers, reviewers, and other book mavens, including distribution of advance review copies (ARCs).
• Development of and support for a book box/club to include a book of the month plus additional value-added components. This work may be in coordination with the book marketing list strategy.
• Maintenance of book related promotional and marketing pages on external websites, including but not limited to Amazon.com and goodreads.com.
• Providing book marketing related input and support to Level 4’s distributor (IPG),including updates in their marketing database and coordination with their sales force.
• Soliciting book reviews.
• Cross selling of books.

Necessary skills are:

• Ability to work cooperatively with team members and to work independently on tasking. Goal oriented.
• Self-starter with the ability to research ideas, make recommendations, and to achieve success. No excuses.
• Dependable and honest.
• Wanting to work in this area for an extended period of time, as opposed to using this as a stepping stone to another job.
• Strong internet research skills.
• Solid grasp of written English.
• Strong web development skills.
• Good grasp of social media tools, including tools to automate the process of posting to social media.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office tools, and especially, Excel. Must have their own computer, internet connection, and Microsoft Office.
• Candidates will be shortlisted based on their written English skill.
