Job Description

Job Specification:-

the Asia-Pacific tourism sector and media, especially South Korea and Japan.
To assist in the preparation and execution of annual action plans of Asia-Pacific outbound tourist, markets: attendance of trade fairs, organisation and participation in fam-trips, press-trips, and workshops, creation and development of communication & social media campaigns, destination & product presentations, creation of market intelligence and other responsibilities.
To assist in the coordination of other Catalan Government Offices in the Asia pacific area and other third parties in the promotion of Catalonia as a quality tourist destination.
To also support de Beijing-based Catalan Tourist Board Director in some eventual promotional actions where extra help may be needed for the markets of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
To assume back-office and logistical office tasks: database updating, administrative tasks, travel arrangements.

.FUNCTIONS, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSABILITIES.:-

Attend to external requests for promotional/information material.
Maintain and updated professional data-based.
Collect and evaluate on a regular basis, or as a result of internal requests, information from tourism operator catalogues, news reports and other media to create press/news clippings books.
Collaborate in the elaborations of market research and the development of market intelligence.
Attend local events with the Directors and at times represent the Director if necessary.
Assist in the coordination of other Catalan Government offices in the Asia-pacific area and other third partners in the promotion of Catalonia as a quality tourist destination by attending meetings, drafting, negotiating and setting up final joint plans or framework contracts.
Assist in the elaboration of the Asia pacific strategy and annual action plans in order to improve Catalonia’s imageand positioning as a quality tourist destination.In addition to these shared tasks and in close collaboration with the Barcelona Market Specialist, the Tourism Marketing Executive shall:
Prepare the call for promotional actions using the contact database and past mailings.
Take part in the organisation of actions and at times assume the role of the market Specialist regarding logistics,assembly, image, accompaniment and/or attention to the participants, resolution of issues, collection of appraisal sand other information of interest, etc.
Follow-up, in particular regarding press coverage from press-trips.Regarding to the tasks of the positions
Manage payments, invoices and necessary follow-up.
Prepare the quarterly accounting and send it to the headquarters with the relevant receipts.
