Job Description:
Job Summary: 
  • Reporting to the Assistant Manager 
Work scope: 
  • Technical review of GA requisition, tender specifications and civil drawings, Design calculations and order related engineering.
  • Standardization and automation.
  • Working on CAD Software i.e. Solid Works and Draftsight. 
  • Support cross function teams 
  • BOM in ERP (SAP).
Job Responsibilities:
  • Receipt of GA requisition and Approved GA drawings
  • Technical review of the GA requisition, tender specifications and civil drawings. 
  • Highlight the points that require clarification with marketing team and resolve the issues / concerns. Make the record of the technical review. 
  • Maintain Design process sheet and work allocation sheet 
  • Selection of boughtouts ( like motor, gearbox, geared motor, hydraulic power pack, isolation valves, solenoid valves, limit switches, proximity switches, level sensors etc.)
  • Provide the details of design inputs to draftsman for drawing preparation.
  • Review of Approved GA drawings. Provide details to draftsman for manufacturing drawing preparation
  • Conduct simulation of the product, its subassembly assembly and components
  • Check the design outputs (GA drawings/Manufacturing drawings/calculations/datasheets etc.)
  • Assist in product classification
  • Assist in process of new product development 
Qualification/Prerequisite :
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Good Analytical skills on the calculation/simulation results.
  • Knowledge of Material Standards.
  • Knowledge of GD & T. 
  • Proficient on CAD (prepare 3D models and simulation)
  • Work on ERP preferred.
  • Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in design calculations, design reviews.
  • Experience of standardization of design library, design table linkages of 3D models, automation
  • Experience of handling a team of at least 2 members
  • Experience of new product introduction and product development. 
  • Excellent communication skills: direct interface with cross function teams, external service providers and customers.
  • Experience of working on ERP system
