  • We are searching for a Meteorological Data Engineer who will be involved in sourcing, maintaining and analysing weather related data streams. 
  • We welcome candidates with strong analytical and quantitative skills, who have an interest in the effects of meteorological phenomena on the energy industry. 
  • The candidate shall work with data scientists to code machine-learning models or help assess the impact of variable weather on power generation and load consumption.
Desired skills:
  • Technical coding skills in programming languages. Python is desirable.
  • Experience with handling large datasets and data processing.
  • Experience with simple analytical and modelling techniques, such a linear regression.
  • Good knowledge of different types of weather data streams, including from Numerical Weather Prediction.
  • Models and from satellite imagery.
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a start-up environment.
  • A background in meteorology/atmospheric science is preferred. 
  • Engineering or computer/data science or a closely related field also welcome.
  • Experience:2 to 4 years.
