Micro Services Designer & Developer

Introduction

• The incumbent sought for must be at ahands-on solution architect/designer with extensive experience in API & Microservices design development
• The core expectation from the role is todesign, buildand contribute to delivery ofcloud native stackfor connected platforms vision to facilitate connect between consumers, customers (corporates, SMEs and FinTech’s)
• This is a hands-on Designer- developer role and we are looking for an individual contributor who has the right blend of subject matter expertise, decision making abilities and rationally design and develop cloud centric solutions. Wherever deemed necessary the incumbent is expected to betechnology advocate of the cloud solutions.
• Work on all aspects of analysis, design and development ofMicroservices based cloud solution, while supporting testing and implementation phases
• Analysenewfunctional, technicalas well asnon-functional requirementsto find the most appropriatetechnical solutioncontributing to the overallsystem design
• Documentdesign patterns, high level design and low level designsin line with the project requirement
• Design and implement applications and data flows, for accuracy, timeliness, quality and control.
• Focus on good code quality and high test coverage and actively participate in code reviews
• Contribute to the delivery of complex projects in collaboration with global teams across Barclays, to develop new or enhance existing systems
• Strong appreciation of design & development best practices
  

What We are Looking For

• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture & core java concepts
• Experience of working with Istio (Service Mesh) with Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience in developing and deploying Microservices
• Experience working in API gateway
• Experience in performing technical assessment of current state of systems & providing solution
• Expertise in design and development of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud applications
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins),VCS (Git) and build (Gradle) systems
• Experience in No-SQL DB, connection pooling
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker
• Understanding of RAML, OAS 3.0
• Experience with jUnit, karate framework
• Handling performance improvements
