Your Role and Responsibilities
As Middleware Administrator, you are responsible to provide technical support with high degree of Customer Happiness by meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA) and process compliance. You will perform business impact analysis and risk assessments to reduce the likelihood of significant service outage or disasters.

Responsibilities:

Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of all or at least one of Websphere MQ, Webspehere Application Server, IBM App Connect Middleware (IIB)
Clustering and High availability management along with Virtualization solutions
Perform installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning
Review Backup reports and Initiate actions on backup failure against specific documentation. Implement changes, perform security related tasks, identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Minimum 2+ years in IBM Websphere MQ, IBM Websphere Application Server, IBM App Connect (IIB) install, configure, and upgrade of linux systems and servers
Demonstrable experience in Support, designing, troubleshooting of above technology
Ability to articulate best practices during implementation
Proven experience in risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms along with OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization
Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day Operation, Alert, Incident support, Migration and break-fix support
Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

This role will require you to be hands on technical.
This role will require you work both as individual contributor or in a team of experienced Application Server Administrators and support 24X7X365 operations, as the requirement may be.
As this is a client facing role, there will be interaction with the clients.
Installation, implementation, upgrading, performance, security, patching and monitoring of application servers like WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP server, IBM App Connect, Websphere MQ etc.
Administer, monitor, troubleshoot application server configuration and performance.
Configuration and troubleshooting of data sources, JMS etc.
Timely security patching and applying support fixes as required.
Configuring web server plugin and troubleshoot plugin/load balance related issues.
Knowledge about heap dump, thread dump.
Role management and User administration.
