MSBI Developer requirements and qualifications
1.BE/M Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject2. 2 to 4 years of experience as a SQL Developer/ MSBI (SSAS) specialist or similar role 3. 2 to 3 years of experience with SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services and Power BI 4. 1 year experience with Microsoft Azure - SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Webjobs, Logic Apps 5.Excellent data warehousing concepts understanding - Data Modeling, Normalization, Slowly changing dimensions, etc 6.Excellent understanding of MS Azure platform, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL/ MDX/ DAX programming 7.Understanding of version controlling - GIT and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment)8.Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success9.Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills and positive attitude Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.Passion for technology and knowledge
MSBI Developer duties and responsibilities
Development of high quality database solutions on Microsoft Azure/ Google Cloud PlatformDevelop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using SQLDevelop Multidimensional/ Tabular cubes in SSAS and build complex measures using MDX queriesResearch required data and perform overall data analysisBuild appropriate and useful reporting deliverables using Power BIAnalyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements and implement optimization techniquesAbility to adapt with various cloud computing platforms - Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP - Migration from on prem to Cloud solutionsDevelop and update technical documentationResearch and apply learning of new technologies in day to day deliveriesResponsibilities demands good logical reasoning and decision making thought processAbility to work independently with minimal guidanceLooking forward to hearing from you soon.
