Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Network Engineer you will manage the network operations of Watson Health Networks across the globe. You will demonstrate expertise in advance network troubleshooting skills with respect to switching, routing, firewall and load balancers.

Responsibilities:

As a Network Engineer you will be responsible to:

• Implement, configure and provide operational support for these network platforms:

• Cisco Switching: both Nexus and ACI.
• Cisco WAN and routing technologies.
• Checkpoint Firewalls as well as Cisco Firewalls.
• F5 LTM Load Balancers
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT industry
• Expertise in configuring and managing Checkpoint Firewalls and Nexus Switches (Switching and Routing) - 9K/7K/5K/2K
• Profound knowledge in implementation and management of Cisco ACI
• Proficient in configuration and management of F5 load balancers
• Experience in configuration and management of Cisco catalyst switches and Cisco routers (ASR and ISR)
• Extensive experience in managing and upgrading Cisco IOS, CAT-OS and NX-OS
• Proficient in VLANs, VPC, Dynamic Routing (OSPF, EIGRP and BGP),HSRP and VRRP

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Prior experience in Cisco ISE implementation and management
• Any scripting language preferably Python
• Experience with ASA Firewalls
• CCNA/ CCNP (Switching and Routing) preferred
• You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
• Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
• Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
• Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
