Checkpoint Firewall Security Engineer
Experience:- 4-7 years
The IT Network Engineer provides support and fulfills the IT requirements and needs of the company through maintaining the operation and performance of Networking environments and systems. This role will work on various network hardware with a bias towards Checkpoint Firewalls, Routers, Firewalls to ensure that network devices are implemented, maintained and highly available as deployed for the business' applications. The IT Network Engineer, implements, and maintains communications Networks within the organization or between organizations and ensures the integrity of high availability Network infrastructure in order to provide maximum performance for the users.
Essential Responsibilities And Duties
Be current Check Point CCSA and CCSE (Certified within the last 2 years) Should have complete understanding of Firewalls and VPN architecture.
5 Years Hands-on Troubleshooting (not Just Creating And Deploying Firewall Rules) With Check Point UTM Firewalls And Be Very Proficient With
Should have complete understanding of the Firewalls and VPN GUI in order to support 24 X 7 operations.
The Network Engineer will work as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced NOC like environment.
The individual will need to be able to troubleshoot high level issues, have a self-starter mentality while being able to be a team player, and a willingness to learn and utilize new technologies.
Oversee, monitor, and maintain the overall availability and performance of a Networking environment, ensuring users can access systems and/or applications and that performance standards are met
Perform Network system and fault analyses; determine root cause of issues and provide resolution
Oversee system integrity and capacity planning
Competent technical expertise in Security Technology domain with demonstrated expertise in one or more following areas Firewall. PS/IDS admission control
Proven experience in implementing security solution across key customer segments
Demonstrated SME in one or more of products and technologies such as CheckPoint Firewall, CheckPoint NG IPS, ISE content security platforms, third party security solutions across key customer segments.
Fluency in a wide range of security protocols including TCP/ Application Layer protocols, Network and Link layer
Make recommendations and provide cost analysis for the purchase of new and upgraded Network systems
Oversee the security of Network systems and monitors traffic on Networks
Regularly meet with business unit management for status updates
Remain educated and updated on new Network infrastructure

Ability to understand ambiguity while working with new technologies and embracing disruptive change through self-derive motivation and belief
