Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs Network Services Specialist, you are responsible for ongoing support of Network Infrastructure, including Routers, Switches, Load Balancers and Netscout across IBM’s commercial portfolio. Your role will include project implementation, transition, BAU support across client environments, all associated security compliance & documentation and business controls associated with the devices under management.Responsibilities:- You will assist with organizing and maintaining user documentation ensuring that any network diagrams. Special instructions or supporting documentation is updated accordingly
- Provide root-cause analysis of any network related incidents.
- Carry out implementation /testing with third parties to ensure that the solution works to the levels expected.
- Liaising with Third party suppliers/vendors to ensure threat the faults are resolved within the agreed time frames accordingly to the product service level agreements in place
- Act as a point of customer concern for the business systems team closing tickets and supporting customers as required by business needs
Required Technical and Professional Expertise- Mininum 7+ years of experience in WAN/LAN, Router, Switch and Firewall problem determination and implementation work.
- Proficient in Netscout application monitoring, packet captures, understanding of layers.
- Expertise in BAU support of the network infrastructure including changes, problem determination/resolution, achieving SLA targets, change/problem management Infoblox, DNS, IP Address Management, Utilization and Capacity planning
- Ability to manage problems and escalations where required.
- High awareness of individual customer service levels when dealing with problems.
- Expertise to callout services to third parties as required – Hardware Vendors etc.
- Experience to maintain processes and procedures as required for the Network Services competency in Australia/New Zealand.
- Ability to adhere to audit compliances strategies to ensure security and business processes as part of BAU activities.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise- Experience in Juniper devices, WLAN / TCP IPv4 , OSPFv2, Layer 2 switching, Spanning tree, UDLD, Private VLAN, ARP, CUCM/UCCX, Network capture and analysis – Netscout and Cacti is highly desirable
- Knowledge of FCOE capability is preferred with proficient with CatOS
- Nexus engineering within the Cisco family
