Role: System Administrator

Experience : 2 - 4 Years

Location : Chennai

Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent

Roles :

Expert knowledge of a variety of Linux operating systems - specific experience with Ubuntu

· Strong experience with Ubuntu in terms of server / desktop installation, server hardening, security configurations

· Should have experience managing all external/internal applications including DNS, LDAP, NIS and SAMBA

· Strong knowledge in shell scripting, creating services, jobs, installing open source software’s

· Strong knowledge in setting up Single domain SSL, wild card SSL and mapping web applications to the corresponding domains

· Experience in installing and configuring any one of the system monitoring software - Nagios or Zabix

· Experience in monitoring and reporting incidents across all the infrastructure

· Experience in Application of OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary

· Experience in maintenance and monitoring of Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server)

· Experience in automating, monitoring & checking the Database backup & recovery process

· Experience in cloud infrastructure management - creating instances, securing them, scaling and managing user access

· Experience in configuring and deploying applications in Apache Tomcat and Nginx

· Knowledge of configuring networking devices like switches, firewall will be added advantage

· Knowledge of Git ,SVN for source code management.
