Job Description

Newswriter I, Global Markets

The Location : Gurgaon

Grade : 7A

Job Responsibilities:

  • Vets newswires, newspapers and company websites to gather and assess information and write articles about the U.S. Financial Services/Banking sector.
  • Writes news briefs based on newspaper stories, press releases and filings.
  • Completes other assignments or projects as assigned.
  • Desired profile:
  • Interest in writing News Stories/Articles/Content/Blog Writing is preferred.
  • Should hold a college degree; B.A. / M.A. in English / Mass Communication / Journalism or related course preferred.
  • Strong English writing skills with fluency in spoken English. Command of U.S.-style journalistic best practice (AP style, libel issues, etc).
  • Good vocabulary and grammar knowledge for effective business writing.
  • Ought to have basic computer literacy and a familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (especially MS Word).
  • Familiarity with journalistic story structure and styling conventions also mandatory.
  • Interest in general news.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.
